Alles über das Training mit Racks

Was muss ich beim Training beachten? Welche Übungen sind für Anfänger geeignet? All diese Fragen und noch viel mehr beantworten wir dir in unserem Kaufberater.

Bei unseren Seminaren erleben wir es immer wieder. Irgendwo haben die Teilnehmer etwas über Powerlifting oder olympisches Gewichtheben gesehen. Voll motiviert wollen sie das auch sofort lernen. Sie fangen meist bei sich im Gym an mit Gewichtheben.  Der örtliche Trainer rät dann meist dazu erstmal die Gewichtheben Technik zu lernen, aber manche wollen davon nichts wissen und wollen vor allem immer größere Gewichte bewegen. Lift Technik? Nein Danke! Meist folgt dann früher oder später eine schwerere Verletzung oder viele kleinere Überlastungen. Der Grund ist einfach: Richtige Powerlifter oder olympische Gewichtheber arbeiten jahrelang an ihrer Lift Technik. Nur schrittweise erhöhen sie die Gewichte, denn sie wissen: Ohne richtige Technik geht es nicht. Um die richtige Technik perfekt erlernen zu können, gibt es einige Hilfsmittel. Eines davon sind die DC Blocks. Was sind DC Blocks? Diese Blöcke sind stapelbare Hilfen, um richtig Gewichtheben zu lernen. Mit ihnen kannst du an deiner Übungsausführung üben. Sie sind höhenverstellbar. Du musst einfach nur die Stufen dazustapeln oder wegnehmen. Schon hast du eine Möglichkeit, um die Gewichtheben Technik einfach und stufenweise zu erlernen. Wie helfen DC Blocks beim Gewichtheben? Bei einigen grundlegenden Übungen mit der Olympiastange geht es mit den DC Blocks darum deinen Bewegungsspielraum zu begrenzen. Das ist dann wichtig, wenn die Übung nicht perfekt ausgeführt werden kann. Vor allem beim Kreuzheben haben viele Trainierende oft das Problem von mangelnder Beweglichkeit in der Hüfte, den Sprunggelenken oder der Brustwirbelsäule. Das führt dann zu einem runden Rücken, welcher wiederum die Belastung auf die sensible Lendenwirbelsäule erhöht. So entstehen im Verlauf des Trainings Verletzungen. Begrenzt du aber deine ROM (Range of Motion), kannst du gezielt die Phase der Bewegung trainieren, in der du noch Schwächen aufweist. So bringst du dem Körper bei genau hier die Stabilität im Rücken zu gewährleisten und arbeitest aktiv an deiner Beweglichkeit in den unbeweglichen Strukturen. Hebemechanik beim Gewichtheben Auch die Hebemechanik als Ganzes kannst du gut mit DC Blocks trainieren. Der Weg der Stange bei einer Übung ist von entscheidender Bedeutung, um den Lastarm optimal zu gestalten. Führst du die Stange zum Beispiel nur ein bisschen zu weit vom Körper entfernt, dann steigt die Belastung für die Lendenwirbelsäule wieder an. Technik Gewichtheben – so geht‘s Mit der Zeit kannst du dann die DC Blocks tiefer stapeln. Damit wird deine ROM immer größer. Achte darauf, dass du eine Bewegungsphase zunächst perfekt beherrschst, bevor du den nächsten Schritt machst. Wenn du Schritt für Schritt den Bewegungsspielraum vergrößerst, dann wirst du Gewichtheben richtig lernen können. Setze deinen Fokus zunächst immer auf die Lift Technik und dann erst auf die Steigerung der Gewichte. Welche Eigenschaften haben DC Blocks? Die DC Blocks sind stapelbar und haben folgende Maße:  48x39x5 (L/B/H)  Ein Block wiegt 4,7 kg. Die DC Blocks bestehen aus maschinell geformtem, recyceltem Kunststoff und haben eine hohe Haltbarkeit. What is a Rack?

For many fitness professionals, the rack has become an essential part of their training routine.

Not only because of the wide range of exercises, but also because of its great fun factor, this training device is the must-have for every ambitious athlete.

Most complicated piece of equipment at the gym

A rack is probably the most complicated piece of equipment at a gym, because at first sight some people don't know how to train with it and what they have to pay attention to. However, if you want to get really fit in terms of strength training, this piece of equipment should definitely have a regular place in your training plan. It is one of the best machines to increase muscle growth and functional strength. It also helps you to learn how to handle weights safely and its various training options make it particularly versatile.

Who should use a rack?

Training with the popular rack is suitable for beginners as well as for experienced professionals. However, it is a good tool for beginners in particular to get started, as a rack allows you to perform strength exercises safely and thus to approach strength training slowly but carefully.

What do I have to pay attention to during training?

When exercising with the rack, it is especially important to make use of the safety devices. This allows you to train safely but effectively with heavy weights.

What exercises can I do with a rack?

From Back Squats to Front Squats, Shoulder and Benchpresses, there are many more exercises possible with the rack.

Depending on the exercise, the height of the barbell bar must be adjusted accordingly. This guarantees the safety of the user and the bar can be brought into the correct position with a minimum of effort.

Pins

The so-called "pins" are straight or L-shaped and are used to place the barbell on top of it.

Safety Bars

The safety bars are especially important because they absorb the weight in case of muscle failure. They are then especially important for exercises such as Bench presses & Squats.

Caution: A common mistake made when using Safety Bars is that they are not placed at the correct height. For example, for bench presses at chest height, you have to be careful to stand close enough to the bar to be able to catch it in time if necessary. For squats it is best to place the bar at the height of your lowest position.

In order to get a good feeling for the height at which the safety bars are best placed, you should do several warm-up exercises.

Pull-Up bar

Normally each rack has a pull-up bar. This is very useful if you want to combine deadlifts and pull-ups in one exercise.

Important: Before you really start training with the rack, you should familiarize yourself with it and approach it slowly so that you can train safely.
