The ultimate handbook for athletes and coaches
Olympic weightlifting is considered the supreme discipline among strength sports. However, not only weightlifters, but also every athlete who seriously wants to build muscle, gain strength and improve their strength endurance cannot avoid snatching and jerking. The prerequisite is a clean technique, which must be learned and maintained in everyday training.
In his book, trainer and American weightlifting champion Greg Everett explains in detail and clearly what makes a good technique and what else is important in Olympic weightlifting. With over 600 illustrations, training plans, tables and step-by-step instructions, this handbook is aimed at anyone who wants to teach or learn weightlifting, eliminate mistakes and improve their technique.
In addition to the basics such as breathing or stance and the individual exercise phases, Everett also goes into the correct warm-up and the most effective additional exercises such as squats or deadlifts. He also provides many useful tips on the subject of nutritional supplements and addresses the topics of mobility and flexibility. This holistic approach, which combines theory and practice in an exemplary manner, makes Olympic Weightlifting an indispensable training manual.
