Certified Strength Coach Level 1 (CFSC 1)

The Certified Strength Coach education Level 1 and 2 (CFSC 1& CFSC 2) are the result of years of coaching, practical experience and research in Functional Training by Michael Boyle and his staff at MBSC.

Our mission with the CFSC is to raise the quality  of the professionals in the industry by delivering the best educational experience possible and by requiring all coaches to pass a live practical exam. By doing this we are creating a skilled network of coaches that can deliver great demos, and provide clear and concise coaching cues, all within a systematic approach to programming. Our goal is to make good coaches great and great coaches even better.

The CFSC Level 1 covers the fundamentals of being a fitness professional. The course covers how to program for and manage progressions for clients of all ages in personal training, small group and large group training settings.

This two day seminar is created by Michael Boyle, the founder of functional training and owner MBSC training center where more they train more than 300 clients per day.

MBSC programs are tailored specifically to the needs of the adult training client. Whether the goal is weight loss, injury rehabilitation or to simply get a great workout as a coach you have to adapt to the needs of men and women of all ages and fitness levels. The CFSC Level 1 education focuses on improving soft tissue quality and flexibility, increasing upper and lower body power, building full body strength and enhancing your cardiovascular fitness. The functional training programs taught in this education are designed to help to make clients move better and become healthier and fitter for their everyday life situations.

Certified Strength Coach Level 2 (CFSC 2)

The CFSC Level 2 Certification is another 2-Day certification that also includes hours worth of pre-course instruction materials. Level 2 requires a more advanced understanding of exercise physiology and is a more physically demanding course as it is designed to educate about the MBSC Athletic Development program.

Michael Boyle with his head coach/therapist Kevin Carr and staff have coached thousands of professional athletes and youth talents of the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and Premier League while at MBSC.

The MBSC system has not only improved athletic performance but has dramatically decreased the incidence of injuries in the athletes that have used it.

The CFSC Level 2 course teaches how to design an Athletic development program based on your athlete’s specific goals and how to effectively progress and regress your program to be an adaptable coach.
